Who we are
This website is run by ShazzBiz, a sole proprietorship of Shahzad Siddiqui, based in Lahore, Pakistan. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean ShazzBiz. For anything about your personal information, email shahzad@shazzbiz.com.
What we collect
When you contact us
If you email us, message us on WhatsApp or LinkedIn, or book a call through Calendly, we receive what you choose to share: usually your name, email address or phone number, company and job title, your message, and the time of any call you book. If you send us your list of use cases from a checklist, we receive that list too.
The use-case checklists
The checklists on our industry pages save your ticked items in your own browser (local storage) so they are still there when you come back. This information stays on your device. It is only sent to us if you choose to click "Book a call about these" or "Email me my list". The "Clear" button deletes it, and so does clearing your browser data.
When you browse the site
Like any website, our hosting provider (Vercel) receives standard technical information when your browser requests a page, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. This is used to deliver the site and keep it secure. Our pages also load fonts from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address and browser details when a page loads.
Visit statistics
We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views and a few anonymous actions, such as a form being sent, a WhatsApp or Calendly button being clicked, or how much of a demo video was watched. It does not use cookies, does not identify you and does not follow you across other websites. We only see totals, such as how many people visited a page.
We do not use advertising trackers or social media pixels, and we do not create user accounts or take payments on this website.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and arrange calls you ask for.
- To prepare proposals and deliver work you engage us for.
- To keep the business and tax records we are required to keep.
- To keep this website running safely and to prevent misuse.
We only email you about your enquiry or our work together. We do not add you to a mailing list without asking first.
If you apply to join the bench
If you apply to join our resource bench, we collect the details you send us: your CV, LinkedIn or portfolio links, skills, experience level, availability and contact details.
- We use them only to review your profile (including the free CV and LinkedIn review), match you with client requirements and arrange interviews.
- Clients receive an anonymised profile summary. Your name, phone number and email are not shared with a client before an engagement is agreed, and never without your consent.
- Inquiry forms and CVs are stored privately in our Google Workspace account (Google Sheets and Google Drive) and our email. Google acts as our service provider.
- You can ask us at any time to update or delete your details, and we will remove them from the bench.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry messages for as long as we need them to respond and follow up, and normally no longer than two years after our last contact. If you become a client, we keep project and billing records for as long as tax and legal rules require. You can ask us to delete your information sooner, unless we have to keep it by law.
Your choices
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy,
- correct anything that is wrong,
- delete your information, or
- stop contacting you.
Email shahzad@shazzbiz.com and we will reply within 30 days. If you are in the UK, the EU or another place with its own data protection law, you may also have extra rights there.
Keeping it safe
We use reputable providers, secure connections (HTTPS) and limited access to protect your information. No website or service is completely secure, so please do not send us sensitive personal information, such as health or payment details, through WhatsApp or email.
Children
This website is for businesses and is not aimed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date at the top.
